both retaining a wonderful patinated surface, commensurate with age and use; one andiron: with missing / broken pieces, including the upright end of the log support, and an old break / loss to lower spit hook, part of left-facing foot with old bend along back corner; other andiron: with old split to upper part of arched foot, missing on part of joint from upright, the foot slightly wobbly / loose from upright, two scrolled elements to upper part with old breaks / detachments at center joint
