Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; sheet is laid to panel, with uneven toning to the paint around image perimeter; faint brown stains throughout the surface; minor wear and paint losses along extreme edges; five shallow scratches within the sky, mostly visible only under strong, raking light. Under UV light: brown stains and toning to extreme edges fluoresce but do not appear to be inpainting; one small area of inpainting each in the extreme upper right corner and along the center left edge; small areas of inpainting in the center right, above the horizon line.
