Mrs. Devil excluding stand height 46 1/2 inches; stand height 20 1/2 inches.
Each figure presents very well and is in good condition overall. Mr. Devil has been refinished. There are various areas of craquelure and bubbling and a few tiny chips and losses to various areas of the stained surfaces. There are a few small losses to the claws of the proper right hand and an old repair to one of the grape leaves. Having a minor loss to the tip of one ear and an old repair to the tip of the other ear. There are four small unobtrusive holes at the back of the collar, an unobtrusive loss to the proper right side of the lapel and another to the proper right side of the goatee. There is a small loss to the front of the proper left side of the waistcoat. The proper left arm with an old repair. The lower part of the base appears to be later.
Mrs. Devil retains a rich patina and does not appear to have heavy restoration. There are areas of craquelure and associated losses to the patination throughout the figure consistent with age. There is a tiny loss to the tip of the stem of the apple, and another to the back of the collar. The proper right wing has been re-attached at some point. There are a few unobtrusive losses throughout the edges and fringe of her dress. There may have been an unobtrusive old repair to one or two of her proper left fingers.
The stand is in good condition overall. There are a few unobtrusive scuffs to the feet and top consistent with age and use. One corner of the top has a repaired chip.
