overall exhibiting patina and wear commensurate with age and use outdoors; with evidence of at least a couple campaigns of paint, the majority of the previous paint has been lost or flaked off, with varied colors present, and revealing the metal substrate beneath; the raised arm with cracks / fractures at wrist, and old break at middle finger (missing piece lost); the helmet with losses to wings at both sides; the caduceus has loss to upper half section / element- the detached pieces missing; both wings to feet with breaks or losses, the wing to standing foot entirely missing; the head to base with sizable missing section of surface hair / ear; the standing leg is detached / broken from upper body at seam, the interior with rod that does insert, allowing sculpture to stand, but upper thigh misaligned from torso, with visible gap; the standing leg also detaches from base head with rod present; with a detached metal element (piece present); the iron base with expected oxidation commensurate with use outdoors; the plinth is a later custom wood base that has been painted, with some minor scuffs or scrapes and some occasional rust transfer from iron base
