Note:

The Tekfur Sarayı (Palace of the Porphyrogenitus), is a late 13th Century Byzantine palace in the north-western part of Istanbul, Turkey. The Tekfur Sarayı pottery workshop was established in 1719 and produced ceramic tiles similar to İznik examples, but influenced by European designs and colors. The workshop, which also produced vessels and dishes, went out of business by the first half of the 19th century.
