In overall decent, stable condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. The recesses of the carved elements on legs, feet and crest rail with darker, historical finish, the back rest, arms and seat frame with a lighter, cleaned finish. The underside of lift-up seat and the back of seat railing both scored 'III' suggesting the seat and chair are original to each other but are part of a larger set. The front proper right leg with an old, professional repair to break. The front proper left leg with an area of "fill" to backside of leg. The proper left arm and arm support with repaired break.
