FIRST EDITION. The Murders in Praed Street is one of the earliest novels to centre on the famous detective Dr. Lancelot Priestley, who would ultimately feature in 72 novels over 36 years. It was the basis for the 1936 British crime film Twelve Good Men. A Haycraft-Queen cornerstone.
