FIRST EDITION. Little Caesar is based on the various hoodlums, hustlers, and prize fighters author W.R. Burnett encountered while working as a night clerk at Chicago's seedy Northmere Hotel. It was later adapted into the 1931 film of the same name starring Edward G.
