.38 Long Colt. 6" barrel length. SN: 153703. (Mfg. ca 1904) Blued and casehardened finish mounting checkered hardrubber grips with rampant colt logos. Double-action six shot loading gate revolver mounting topstrap notch and fixed front blade sights. Standard double-line Colt address to barrel and three line patent marking on the left. {C&R}

Fair to Good. Bore is Frosty with patched oxidation and strong rifling. Metal finish is primarily deep brown patina with some traces of blue at seams and faint case colors. Grips show handling wear with checkering worn flat over the raised edges and loss of fine details to the logos. Action indexes and locks on chambers, but it resets exceptionally slowly, likely due to old lubricants.

He is a member of the American Society of Arms Collectors and currently serves on the board of directors of that organization. He is also a member of and formerly served on the board of directors of the Society of American Bayonet Collectors. Tim is a life member of the Ohio Valley Military Society, the Tennessee Military Collectors Association, the Alabama Military Collectors Association, is a member of the Company of Military Historians and is a member of numerous other colleting groups and societies. Tim has engaged in the business of buying, selling, researching, and appraising antique and collectible arms and associated military items for some three decades.
