Very Good to Excellent. Bores are dusty with some residues that should clean to Bright or better. Browned finish is strong on the barrels with some light scratches and abrasions forward of the handguard. Casehardened finish retains vibrant colors with some faint handling mars. Pinpoint pitting on the standing breeches that has been cleaned with most of the case colors remaining intact. Forend latch does not fit flush with the wood with the screws partly backed out and require tightening. Rear screw port shows some cleaned pitting that cuts through the engraving. Finish on the tip of the forend has worn down to silver. Wood furniture retains a tight wood to metal fit save for the latch, with the rear right corner of the forend having been rounded off, and some light handling dents. Buttplate flaking in the horizontal serrations, typical for horn butts. Action locks up with the barrels on face and lever resting slightly right of center. Lockup shows some up and down and left right wiggle. . Travel case has some handling wear, dents, and scuffs to the exterior, and a brass patina forming. Leather handle flaking and abraded.
