1) Fine. Bayonet with the blade lightly cleaned to bright and showing scattered surface oxidation and discoloration. Locking ring intact and functional. Scabbard about good with moderate wear and finish loss and the brass throat cracking along the edge.
2) Good. Bayonet with scattered surface oxidation and discoloration. Metal with dings and mars from use. Locking ring intact and functional. Scabbard about good with moderate wear, about .5" short of full length in the body with the frog possibly a replacement as the age and wear does not match the body of the scabbard, although the frog does appear to be period. Leather with moderate wear, crazing and finish loss.
3) Good. Bayonet with a moderate amount of scattered surface oxidation and discoloration. Metal with dings and mars from use and some lightly scattered pitting. Locking ring intact and functional. Scabbard about good with moderate wear, showing crazing and finish loss, particularly along the high edges and contact points.
4) Good. Bayonet cleaned to bright with the blade shortened about 2.5". Metal with dings and mars from use and some lightly scattered pitting. Locking ring intact and functional. Scabbard about very good with moderate wear, showing some minor crazing and flaked and worn finish loss, particularly along the high edges and contact points.
5) Fine. Bayonet with a fine bright blade with some cross polish remaining and some nice thinned and faded blue on the socket. Locking ring intact and functional. Scabbard about good with moderate wear, crazing, flaking and finish loss.
