Fine. Bore very good, moderately oxidized and with crisp seven groove rifling. Barrel with some nice thinning brown mixed with a richly oxidized brown patina, giving the rifle the appearance of more finish than it really has. Breech with some light pitting around the bolster area and on top. Lock with mottled and oxidized gray patina. Markings remain clear and crisp throughout. Mechanically functional lock. Brass with an attractive dull golden patina. Wood fine and crisp with sharp edges and retaining some feathery texture. A sliver of wood is missing from the top of the stock between the hammer and breech plug tang. Otherwise the wood shows scattered light bumps, dings and mars.
