Good. Bore very good, partly bright, moderately oxidized with strong rifling. Metal lightly cleaned with a speckled and freckled pattern of surface oxidation and age discoloration on the metal. Markings remain clear and legible in the metal. Mechanically functional action, including the tape priming system. Short leaf of rear sight is a replacement. Wood with moderate to heavy wear, lightly sanded and with added finish. A chip is missing from the comb, forward of the buttplate tang and another chip is missing behind the triggerguard tang. There is some minor wood loss along the edges of the patch box door mortise. A tight grain crack is present in the counterpane running diagonally from the barrel channel, through the rear lock screw towards the wrist. Stock with numerous bumps, dings and mars.
