Full Stock Heavy Barreled Flintlock Rifle

.44 Cal. 46.75" barrel length. NSN. Mottled gray to brown patina overall with casehardened pan, frizzen, and cock set in a maple full stock with brass mountings and endcap, and a cheek rest to left butt. Single shot flintlock rifle with octagonal barrel and mounting semi-buckhorn rear leaf sight without slider, and a dovetailed front post sight that is missing the post. Item shows weak maker marks on the barrel and lockplate, the latter with a legible & CO. marking. Features a waterproof pan with non-roller frizzen, the pan nicely aligning with the touch hole. Heavy barrel in excess of 1.125" diameter across the flats. This item measures 62" in length and 14 lbs. {ANTIQUE}
