Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips. Item mounts an adjustable ladder rear aperture sight with anti-aircraft legs paired with a barleycorn front blade sight with protectors. Left receiver shows the {Nagoya Arsenal} marking beside a {5th Series} stamp. Upper receiver retains its kanji marks for Type 99, but the Imperial Japanese Chrysanthemum has been ground off. Bore is chrome lined. Rifle comes with a straight quillon type 30 bayonet with ricasso showing a crisp {Toyoda Automatic Loom Works} maker mark beside {Nagoya Arsenal} supervision stamp.
