.45 Colt. 5.5 barrel. SN: 352531. Nickel finish, raised carved mother of pearl steer's head grips. Single action smokeless frame revolver with loading gated, fluted six-chambered cylinder, frame notch rear sight and blade front sight. One line barrel address reads: COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. Lower left of frame with "three date in two line" patent marking and Rampant Colt logo. Front left of triggerguard web with Colt proof in triangle and the number 1. Matching serial numbers on bottom of frame and on backstrap and grip strap, under the grips. Rear face of cylinder marked with the last two numbers of the serial number, "31".
