exhibiting very clean paint surface consistent with a modern painting, with no cracquelure present; with only a few minor areas of retouching, particularly center boat, along bottom center of painting, and with a horizontal scrape along left-most facing ship sails and landscape in background and couple small scrapes to right of it; the stretcher is visible via two small cut-outs to papered backing, revealing that the stretcher is modern; the frame is modern and in good overall condition; the back retains label from Bonham's, inscribed "116/ 5"
