Album of 59 original carte-de-visite photographs, including President Abraham Lincoln, his cabinet, and all (but one) Senators from the 38th Congress (lacking William A. Richardson, Illinois). Signed on or below their image, or with cut-signatures mounted (except Lemuel J. Bowden, Virginia). Lincoln's signature excised from another document, and mounted to page below photograph. Manuscript index of photographs at front; Senators arranged by state and labeled thusly in manuscript at top of each page. Brown morroco boards, stamped in blind and in gilt, front board detached, extremities rubbed, remnants of brass clasps; all edges gilt; decorated endpapers; printed presidential calling card dated March 1, 1864 laid-in; Charles Sessler bookseller's description laid-in.
