4 volumes, 8vo (184 x 117 mm). Engraved vignette on title-page of volume I, numerous engraved plates (some folding) and illustrations. (Scant spotting.) Later half green morocco gilt, spine gilt, top edges gilt (slight wear to ends of spines, corners bumped). Provenance: Bookseller's stamp of Charles E. Lauriat, Boston, MA; William Douglas Sloane (1844-1915) American businessman (bookplate); bookseller's stamp of Root & Son.
