Property from the Collection of Scott H. Lang and Jo Ann Seagren, Chicago, IL
There are 4 small pinholes, one in each corner. There are two bends from handling. A one inch bend (halfway down from top, right edge) , and a slightly longer one inset, slightly lower than previous mention. No paper or emulsion break. This work is in good and stable condition. Eugene Von Bruenchenhein purchased standard photographic paper in the 1940s. Therefore, most of the photographs are sized at 10 x 8, 7 x 5, or 4 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches. All photographs are untitled, unsigned and undated as is consistent with the work. On the verso of each are two inventory numbers written in graphite: one from Works from the Estate of Eugene Von Bruenchenhein and the second from the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, Wisconsin who inventoried works from the artist's home after his death.

Condition reports prepared by Freeman's staff are provided as a convenience and may be requested from the Department prior to bidding.
The absence of a posted condition report on the Freeman's website or in our catalogues should not be interpreted as commentary on an item's condition. Prospective buyers are responsible for inspecting a lot or sending their agent or conservator to inspect the lot on their behalf, and for ensuring that they have requested, received and understood any condition report provided by Freeman's.
