Property from the Collection of Susann Craig, Chicago, IL
There are vertical splits in the wood on each of the four figures in this totem pole. The gaps are anywhere from 1/8 an inch to a 1/2 inch. In more horizontal carved areas there is more of a gathering of dust and dirt, along with a slight patina of same over the whole work. On the fish figure at the very bottom, part of the top of the tail is chipped off. Approximately 1/2 inch is gone. There is a small gash with wood and paint loss 1/4 in diameter and 1/4 inch deep on the back of the second figure down from the top. Otherwise this work is in good and stable condtion.
