This puzzle chest currently does not open. The mechanism is unreachable. There is one small layer one inch square that is a replacement piece made from masonite on one of the long sides. There is also one foot that the bottom layer is compromised. 1 1/2 x 1/2 x 1 1/2 in a triangle. There is general wear and fading of wood over the years. Otherwise the work is in good and stable condition.
