Van Dine") TO CAROLYN WELLS HOUGHTON regarding her use of Wright's "twenty rules" in the planned new edition of her book Technique of the Mystery Story. Wright concludes: "I send you my best wishes, and if you will let me have a copy of the new edition of your book I will be only too happy to write a glowing review of it - which, I assure you I can do whole-heartedly."
