Areas of heavy craquelure throughout. Scattered, minor instaces of loss to the painted surface, some of which have been overpainted. Three pinholes to Mary Magdalene's hair. Areas of rippling to the canvas, particularly along the vertical edges. Minor areas where the unpainted canvas shows through, particularly in the lower-right corner and along the left vertical edge. Examination under UV light reveals a relatively uneven varnish with scattered, minor instances of retouch throughout.
