Engraved frontispiece, engraved title, 49 engraved maps. (One map disbound, some light browning or staining.) Publisher's blue half morocco, blue cloth, cover gilt-stamped, spine gilt (some light overall wear.) Though the map of the United States still shows Texas as part of Mexico, the atlas includes a map of the separate "Republic of Texas," captioned: "The boundaries of this infant commonwealth are as yet unsettled on the side of Mexico."
