the rounded rectangular body raised on a short splayed foot, carved to the body with taotie masks, surmounted by an everted mouth rim decorated with a keyfret border, flanked by a pair of sinuous chilong handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover having a bud-form finial, raised on a fitted hardwood stand.
