In fair, stable condition overall. Tilt-top functions and the hinge is intact. The top with general crazing to the lacquer and surface wear in the form of minute instances of loss, scratches and nicks. One area of loss to the underside 2 1/2 inches in length, two areas of loss 5/8 inches in length and an area of partial breakage approximately 2 inches in length. Upper portion of baluster form stem appears to have later paint. Circular foot is slightly warped, with a large curvilinear split and areas of subsequent surface loss spanning from edge to stem, along with a tight age split. Rubbing and loss to gilt decoration consistent with age.
