In fair condition consistent with age. Areas of retouch to segments of the upside and underside of the man's hat. Scattered chips and areas of loss to the sheaves of wheat, as well as to the encrusted flowers and leaves. Repair to a segment of the base on the proper-right side. Area of retouch above the anchor mark on the back of the trunk. Retouch to the sickle. Minor instances of discoloration and rubbing to glaze consistent with age. Examination under UV light causes portions of the man's hat, his proper-right hand, the sickle and the repaired segment of the base to fluoresce.
