In decent, stable condition overall. Scattered, faint hairline cracks to the underside, as well as scattered areas of apparent repair. General shelf wear consistent with age. Scattered hairline cracks to the base, together with scattered areas of repair, apparently in the form of overpainting. Instances of rubbing and some loss to the gilt highlights and painted decoration throughout, consistent with age. The lady holding the parasol has a detached proper-right thumb. Area of apparent repair in the form of overpainting to the lady's neck. The figural inkwell holding a text has a minor hairline crack to its proper-left hand. The other figural element has a minor chip to the back collar of its floral decorated robe. This item has not been examined under UV light.
