In fair condition overall. General layer of surface grime and dust to the panels, particularly to the two outermost panels. Several significant tears to the tooled leather panels, as well as scattered areas of loss to the paint. Several of the leather border strips, as well as the nails by which they are affixed, have been replaced. Hinges are intact with some slightly loose and with various replaced elements. Cracquelure to the painted panels throughout. Scattered areas of likely repair and retouch to the polychrome decoration throughout. Some panels are likely relined or reinforced with later elements.
