In overall decent, stable condition, appears complete . Decoration and gilt bright and intact to exterior. The lower left side of the back (as viewed) and the underside with some tight hairline cracks. Examination under UV light did not reveal any other condition issues. The lid opens and closes smoothly. Fabric to interior mostly intact but worn and dirty. The crossed swords mark to the underside has an E between the hilts and a C between the blades suggesting this is by Choisy-le-Roy, mid to late 20th century.
