St. Louis Summer Auction

This painting has been relined. Under ultra violet light the varnish appears quite milky. There are visible spots of inpaint scattered throughout the background, most measuring under 1/2 inch with the largest being a cluster approximately 1.5 inches at its widest located within the background on the left side above her sleeve. There is another cluster of inpaint visible in the lower right corner. A spot of inpainting is visible in the center of her lower lip, and a few spots within her hair. Under natural light, the surface appears shiny with varnish and dusty. There are small spots where pigment has popped and the surface appears dry/unstable, within her bodice/sleeve above her hands.
