One leaf shaved at the fore edge; another creased at the center; rest of the pages with intermittent foxing; brown staining to title page and a few other leaves; upper board detached; rear hinge starting; boards rubbed; minor soiling to the title page, a few tiny tears repaired, and a minor stain to the edges of the first 80 leaves. Previous owner's name written on the top margin of the title page: Herbert Gardner, with his bookplate on the front pastedown endpaper, and the date written in ink at the bottom of the title page.

The physical condition of lots in our auctions can vary due to age, normal wear and tear, previous damage, and restoration/repair.
