Condition: [Nel Gwyn]: The inner hinges are somewhat weakened; a small stain affecting the top edge of a few pages in the 2nd volume; some of the extra-illustrations are foxed. [Comicus:] Lacks the printed title page; page edges slightly trimmed; minor foxing; one page expertly re-cornered with Japanese tissue. Previous owner's bookplate on the inside front cover. [French Revolution:] Minor foxing and minor soiling; light shelfware.
