The ring is approximately size 7. Gem Characteristics (graded in setting) Sapphire It is the opinion of the director that the star sapphire in this ring exhibits internal characteristics consistent with those observed in natural star sapphire that has not been color enhanced through heat treatment; and that the most likely location of geographic origin is Ceylon (Sri Lanka). The stone is purple in hue, medium in tone and moderately strong in saturation, with eye visible inclusions and minor wear visible at 10X magnification. The stone exhibits six-ray asterism (star) with slightly wavy legs and fair to good strength, the star moves well.
