This painting appears to be in stable, clean condition. Under ultra violet light, there are scattered spots of inpaint visible along the right edge clustered near the center. Subsequent spots extend from this area within the background above the figure's left shoulder and near the brim of his visor. A layer of varnish also fluoresces under u.v. light. These places of inpainting appear to have a matte surface when viewed under natural light. Overall, the painting shows well.
