The case in overall decent condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Likely refinished surface. Case hardware likely replaced. Traces of worm. Produces sound when played, but a few keys do not strike and a few keys stick when played. Discoloration and little overpainting to the side of the case, likely to cover age splits/lifting to the veneer. The sound board has significant age splits and warping. Left side of case is unfinished, but likely due to it being made to rest along a wall. Right side of case is sun bleached. The key cover/front of the case is warped. The back 2/3 of the underside of the case are later, likely late 19th/early 20th century, probably replaced at same time as the stand it rests on.
