In overall fair and stable condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Retaining a retailer or inventory label to the underside. Craquelure to the top with some minor losses to the cream ground. Rubbing and minor losses to the gilt. Few screws later. Some areas of inpainting to the top associated to age split, a scratch and minor lacquer loss. The frieze shows signs of regilding, while the legs appear to have early mercury gilding with some later regilding. Back legs having added blocks for stability, one with newer blocks. One of the back legs reattached and possibly associated as the fluting on the back of the two legs is different, one is fluted around the entirety while the other is fluted about 3/4 of the way around.
