Note that the clock is likely later than is described in the catalogue. It probably dates to late 18th or early 19th century. Overall good, stable, complete condition; the movement replaced with a late 19th century movement. Clock accepts winding, runs and strikes smoothly but has not been evaluated by a clock specialist. Unsure of duration or accuracy of timekeeping. Door and glass are detached but all mounting hardware is present. Case in good condition with areas of lifting brass veneer, age cracks, repaire to brass and tortoise shell. Some bronze mounts possible replaced, with older but not original gilt throughout. Some figures with casting cracks, one finial loose. The figure's shield is attached with later wire. Heavier veneer loss/damage/repairs at bottom of case below the dial. Enameled numerals in fairly good condition without cracks or repairs; some numerals loose. Additional photos available upon request.
