Date to first half 19th century. Each in overall good condition without looseness to joints. Scattered nicks and scratches consistent with age. Some with scattered old repairs, including one with crack to back splat. Formerly caned on the backs and the seats. The cane holes to the backs have been filled with strips of wood, stained to match, but some are loose and some with losses. Cane to seats upholstered over and with boards to bottom. Do not believe caning intact beneath, just some remaining in holes. Upholstery in need of replacing. All chairs appear to be original to set. Additional photos available upon request. Width of armchairs at widest 25 inches. Width of side chairs at widest 18 3/4 inches.
