The pink enameled pair retailed by Wright Kay & Co., Detroit; enamel to barrels in good condition but one with several tight hairline cracks, the longest being 3/8 inch; decoration and gilt bright; mother-of-pearl to eyepieces and focal wheel intact, focal wheel operates fairly smoothly; lenses intact but one with crystallization; the aluminum frame having even finish with a dent near one of the larger lenses; frame between larger lenses inscribed "Merry Xmas 1897." The second pair unmarked; enamel to barrels good; some light pitting to one area; mother-of-pearl eyepieces and focal wheel intact but lacking one of the smaller lenses; focal wheel operates smoothly and the side retaining both lenses focuses; having matte brass finish to frame.
