La Reine example having a focal wheel that moves but catches, focuses well. Handle lacking two sections of mother-of-pearl veneer. Extends and locks in place. Outer lense edge having a dent and each with some light paint loss. One pair by Lemaire lacking an eyepiece, focal wheel moves tightly and focuses well. Light surface scratches to veneers. Extends and locks into place. Last pair retailed by Bunde & Upmeyer, Paris, France. Lacking a lense and eyepiece, otherwise focal wheel moves freely to allow lenses to adjust. Extends and locks into place. Both gilt metal examples with wear and oxidation to finish.
