Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is not lined and is rippling along all edges, primarily noticeable along the upper edge; stretcher bar lines around image perimeter, accompanied by minor cracks in the paint; network of craquelures throughout; one pinpoint paint loss in the lower center; possible inpainting throughout the lower half of the composition; under a thick and highly reflective varnish. Under UV light: the heavy varnish fluoresces green, prohibiting viewing of most inpainting; however, areas of inpainting can be seen in areas within the upper right quadrant, as well as in scattered spots throughout the lower half of the canvas.
