Estimate$8,000 – $12,000
Provenance:
Private Collection.
Avery Galleries, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Acquired directly from the above, 2013.
Property from a Private Collection.
The unlined canvas in mostly good condition apart from having two patches verso–one patch at upper right and another at bottom center. There is some minor corresponding restoration on reverse at patched areas, though we note that the amount of associated restoration is far more minor than are the sizes of the patches. Under UV light at bottom of canvas extending some ways into foreground there appears to be likely restoration; this area appears darker than surrounding areas and in an almost brushwork-like pattern. At very bottom left and right outer edges there is some retouching. Additional images available upon request.
Framed: 17 x 15 x 1/2 in.

Condition reports prepared by Freeman's staff are provided as a convenience and may be requested from the Department prior to bidding.
The absence of a posted condition report on the Freeman's website or in our catalogues should not be interpreted as commentary on an item's condition.
