Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is not lined; minor craquelure scattered throughout, mostly noticeable in areas of the sky under strong light; one horizontal tear in the upper right corner with inpainting visible under normal viewing conditions and a corresponding repair on the verso, no greater in length than 2 1/2 inches; two faint horizontal scratches through the center; small pieces of white fiber are embedded within areas of the varnish; pinpoint white paint droplets scattered along the edges. Under UV light: the aforementioned tear fluoresces, as well as two medium-sized spots to the right, also with a corresponding repair on the verso; one small spot of inpainting along the extreme lower left edge; one thin line of paint fluoresces in the lower right corner, but this does not appear to be inpainting.
