The inscribed label falsely implies that the table came over with Robert Smith, who immigrated to America in England in 1698 and eventually owned roughly 700 acres of land spread across Buckingham, Makefield, and Wrightstown in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The table was however passed down through the Smith family via Robert's descendents.
