Photographs from 1931-1937 of the central entrance of Independence Hall show this fixture and another in situ. Park Service records indicate that the fixtures were removed in 1956 during restoration of the building. The fixture was purchased about 1958 from a Philadelphia Lighting store and used for several years in the lobby of the Carriage Stop Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.
