with wonderful figuring to grain and lustrous surface overall; the side panels of lower section both with considerable age cracks to veneer, the right-facing side also with loss to veneer along apron, the left-facing side panel with an area of fill to veneer; some glass panels probably replaced--those are more recently tacked in place; some minor age cracks to lift top, the underside revealing replaced green baize writing surface that has fading and general wear, the baize presently lifting off the surface; drawers glide smoothy; the upper-most drawer with patches near escutcheon, the area of case just below right bottom corner with small loss to veneer; the drawers each with replaced brasses and escutcheons, the bottom-most drawer missing its lock, and the upper two drawers with replaced locks; finials possibly replaced; accompanied by one key which works the glazed door; the legs are nicely turned, exhibiting mild rubbing and wear, including minor scuffs and knicks
