with wonderful figuring to wood, overall the surface retains a rich color; the top with some old dark water stains; slant front fits snugly and doesn't comfortably close fully; slant front with patch around escutcheon, lock, and around hinges; prospect door with patch around lock; one file slide with old numerical writing; one loper with brass knob detached (knob present); the top most drawer with patches to each corner, including a longer one along top right edge; bottom three drawers with patches to lip and / or some corners, the two middle drawers with losses to corners to upper right-facing corners; top drawer with ink staining to interior bottom; bottom-most drawer with loss to corner along lower left corner; some drawers with penciled numerals and minor occasional paint transfer; back right-facing foot with loss to bottom section; front right-facing foot with repaired / replaced wood segment, and front left-facing foot with slightly loose front foot facing; the brasses are replaced, with plugged previous screw holes; small split to interior molding below fitted section
