Framed: 42 x 35 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches.
The frame is not original but appears in good, stable, ready-to-hang condition with minor surface dirt and dust consistent with age and hanging. The frame, although later, is complimentary to the aesthetic of the work. Work with minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is not lined; one small rectangular patch on the lower center verso, with corresponding inpainting visible under UV light. Under UV light: dots of inpainting scattered throughout, with larger strokes of inpainting within the sky below the arch, the upper wall of the structure in the background, and in the foreground of the courtyard.
